Smash Global launched in 2018 delivering workshops for dancers wanting more insight and upskilling for the industry. They were so popular that over 1000 young people attended to date.The one day workshops soon became weekend intensives, online and in person, and demand led us to developing a full time course.

From January 2024 we launched our first full time CPD course attracting those over the age of 18.

The CPD course design enables dancers to claim this training as career professional development against tax returns.

Our current course has been a pioneering first for the UK as we have included all the key elements dancers were lacking and took the dancers to Los Angeles for work-based learning experience which alongside training gave the dancers an opportunity to perform on a global stage.  

Our courses have 100% retention and attendance.

Smash Global is at the forefront of change in training for the dance industry. We are the facilitators of a new, pioneering creative arts dance business and wellbeing course that has been created in collaboration with global leaders in the profession. An unrivalled outstanding global faculty who not only are intrinsic to the technical and holistic development of the individual dancers but are also those that offer employment.

The demand for this training originated from Directors of film, TV, Theatre, Music Management, Dance Agents, Equity, Producers, Casting Agents, Choreographers those that hire dancers at the forefront of creative industries that globally generate revenues of over two trillion and amount for nearly 50 million jobs worldwide. 

They had concerns dancers graduating were ill equipped for work and lacked confidence. Smash strongly believes industry should lead education, not education leading industry.

The courses and training is also in response to our dancers community who are open about what they feel they are lacking in terms of being equipped for one of the most competitive global industries. 

Smash believes in breaking down barriers for opportunities, we do not charge for auditions and we have a 6 month ongoing legal and contractual support service for those post competing the full time training.

Smash hosts regular ‘Lets Talk’ sessions so dancers have a safe platform to discuss issues faced being a professional dancer and to poise questions to those who are offering employment opportunities. 

We strongly believe in empowering Dancers in all aspects of mind, body and entrepreneurial skills for those wanting a career with longevity. We prioritise mindfulness, body positivity and ensuring the pressures of auditions, training and being self-employed are given strategies to apply to a career in the creative arts industry.
